Sustainability Social Expert

As a Sustainability Expert you will drive sustainability impact by integrating it into our business plans and measuring outcomes. You will lead the industry through our sustainability agenda ensuring compliance and traceability. You will execute and ensure sustainability impact and outcomes at the facility level for various social thematic areas. This involves implementing strategies and finding opportunities for improvement.

You will guide the facilities by identifying appropriate training programs to enhance sustainability performance and build capacity. This includes training needs related to social topics as well as strengthening worker rights and ensuring fair and safe working conditions across all facilities.

For effective implementation of our sustainability initiatives you will need to understand the road map and follow up on its progress at the facility level. By tracking advancements and addressing any challenges you will ensure that our sustainability initiatives remain on course and effective.

You actively collaborate with internal stakeholders to create synergies and leverage it externally with suppliers through sharing best practices across supply chain.

As the Sustainability Expert your focus will be driving implementing and monitoring H&Ms vision towards Inclusive Workplaces Living Wages and Social Protection  Safe and Healthy Workplaces and Decent Working Conditions in Supply Chain. To achieve this you will have full ownership for creating programs guidelines tools and roadmaps to implement in above specified social focus areas.

Analyzing program specific data and generating performance reports co-creating action plans with suppliers and providing support to the implementation of program activities by selected supplier facilities will be some of your responsibilities.

You will be building short-term/long-term roadmaps for program focus areas in the region which aligns with the global roadmap as well as individual brands requirements. You will educate and build capacity of both internal staff and suppliers on above specified social areas and you will improve awareness and visualize our work internally and externally.

HOW YOU DO

As Sustainability Expert you will represent H&M values both within the industry and internally. You will achieve strong execution and ownership by fully implementing sustainability initiatives at the facility level ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

You will leverage your curiosity to explore new sustainability trends and technologies continuously seeking innovative solutions to enhance our practices. Using technical expertise and effective collaboration with key stakeholders you will strengthen improvement possibilities by regularly assessing current processes and focusing on continuous enhancement to drive significant advancements.

You will utilize your project management skills to effectively plan execute and monitor sustainability projects coordinating with stakeholders and managing timelines to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you need to be very good in analytical thinking stakeholder management and communication. You have strong project management and follow-up skills with solution-oriented approach good in finding innovative solutions and good in creativity.

The person we are looking has bachelors degree and preferably specialized in social areas. We are looking for candidates with minimum 5 years of working experience in the relevant fields with excellent written and spoken English and Turkish language. Preferably understanding of textile manufacturing processes and techniques.
