Job Summary
Key job responsibilities
A. Product Strategy & Definition Define vision (PRFAQ/BRD) 2-3 year roadmap and success metrics across both AI-Enabled Solutioning (FMEA Simulation Pilot Simulation Business Case Modeling) and Selling Partner Defect Elimination (defect attribution resolution routing seller consultation productization). Lead stakeholder alignment across RBS Tech ML Science Returns Finance and 13 system owner teams. Own product governance stage-gate criteria and escalation paths.
B. Customer Understanding & Engineering Partnership Serve as Voice of the Customer across Program Managers Selling Partners (vendors FBA retail) and Country Leaders. Partner daily with engineering and ML/AI Science to translate requirements into deliverables. Define user stories covering functional and non-functional requirements. Own sprint planning backlog management and QA strategy across both domains.
C. Launch Execution Drive phased rollout: PoC pilot scaled production. Lead UAT coordination develop training materials track delivery against roadmap and run post-launch retrospectives.
D. Monitoring & Scaling Own post-launch metric tracking (Solutioning TAT DET bps/yr seller adoption AI model accuracy) with monthly leadership reporting. Triage user feedback drive iteration cycles monitor AI model performance and scale Selling Partner coverage from 3500 to 3M sellers.
About the team
The Returns Reduction team within Retail Business Services operates across four pillars: Customer Defect Elimination Selling Partner Defect Elimination Amazon Defect Elimination and Defect Resolution. This role sits within the Returns Reduction Productization function driving AI-enabled tools that debottleneck defect elimination at scale. The team partners closely with RBS Tech ML Science BI Engineering Returns Finance Brand Analytics Category Account Management Customer Service Product and Selling Partner Support. The program addresses $5.1B in Selling Partner-attributed losses and $8.2B in total return concession costs serving multiple VP organizations across Amazons returns ecosystem.
- 5 years of product or program management product marketing business development or technology experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
