Account Executive - DACH

Location: Remote - DACH Region Work Type: Remote

About the Role

The Account Executive - DACH is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers and partners across Germany Austria and Switzerland with the objective of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. This role drives pipeline growth manages the full sales cycle and serves as a trusted advisor to customers and partners across the DACH market.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to meet or exceed quota including the identification and prioritization of opportunities for existing and potential customers and partners across the DACH region.
  • Proactively initiate and maintain contact with customers and partners on a regular basis to develop maintain and expand business relationships across Germany Austria and Switzerland.
  • Develop and communicate accurate real-time sales forecasting while recording all customer account information opportunities and meaningful conversations in the CRM.
  • Partner with sales solution engineers in the development of software demonstrations actively contributing to and participating in customer-facing presentations.
  • Attend and actively contribute to trade shows and events across the DACH market ensuring customers and potential customers are engaged in company marketing efforts.
  • Develop closing plans for accounts engaging internal leadership as necessary to lead negotiation and contracting processes to ensure deals are closed on time as forecasted.

Role Essentials

  1. Proven experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive with demonstrated knowledge of sales in a relevant technology solution or assigned industry.
  2. Strong ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others with good negotiating and influencing skills.
  3. Proficiency in opportunity management and account planning tools including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  4. Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking with the ability to manage work independently to completion.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.

What Wed Like to See

  1. Experience working within the DACH market with a strong understanding of regional business culture and customer dynamics across Germany Austria and Switzerland.
  2. Multilingual skills are highly desirable fluency in German (written and spoken) is a strong plus.
  3. Experience in a B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environment with familiarity in content services or intelligent automation solutions.
  4. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams including sales specialists marketing and customer success.
  5. Associates degree or equivalent experience in Business Sales or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to meet or exceed quota including the identification and prioritization of opportunities for assigned moderate risk moderate impact existing or potential customers or partners
  • Develop and communicate accurate sales forecasting on a real-time basis
  • Proactively initiate contact with potential customers customers and partners on a regular basis to develop maintain and expand business relationships. Collaborate with all available company resources to develop and maintain pipeline
  • Take proactive measures to streamline and constantly improve account management and the sales process
  • Partner with sales solution engineers in the development of software demonstrations for customers or potential customers; actively contribute and participate in software demonstration
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM including opportunities commitments meaningful conversations customer visits or sales calls
  • Understanding of best practices and market trends as well as customer and potential customers business and technical needs. Pursue opportunities for company expansion and integration
  • Engage company specialist and support resources as needed to advance opportunities
  • Assist with determining the viability of Request for Proposal (RFP) requests and directly influence the appropriate development of the response
  • Attend and actively contribute to trade shows; ensure customers or potential customers are participating in company marketing efforts to the best of their ability
  • Develop the closing plan for accounts; engage internal leadership as necessary to help lead negotiation and contracting process to ensure deal is closed on time as forecasted

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as an Account Manager
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales in relevant technology solution or assigned industry
  • Proficient in opportunity management and account planning tools
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
  • Strong ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
  • Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage work independently to completion
  • Strong collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills
  • Up to 50% travel time required
