Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON) Maternal Child Health
Location: New York NY 10037
Job Type: Full-Time Contract

About the Role:
Seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead Maternal Child Health services including Labor & Delivery Postpartum NICU and Pediatrics in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic initiatives focused on maternal and neonatal outcomes
Oversee staffing budgeting and departmental operations
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission CMS and NYS Department of Health standards
Manage Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs
Collaborate with medical staff and executive leadership
Supervise mentor and evaluate nursing leadership and staff
Promote evidence-based family-centered patient care
Requirements & Preferred Skills:
Active New York RN license required
BSN required; MSN MHA or MBA preferred
Minimum 7 years nursing experience required
Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Maternal Child Health required
BLS and NRP required upon hire
ACLS and PALS required
NEA-BC certification preferred
Strong expertise in perinatal nursing and acute care
Experience with Baby-Friendly standards and high-risk OB care preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills
