Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Location: Syracuse NY 13210 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:00 PM Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts 36 Hours/Week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care in an acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical respiratory therapy skills acute care experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies to patients
Initiate monitor and manage oxygen therapy treatments
Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of continuous mechanical ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency respiratory interventions
Conduct pulmonary function testing and respiratory assessments
Perform radial arterial punctures and collect arterial blood gas samples
Monitor patient respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with facility protocols
Deliver patient care independently with minimal supervision in an acute care setting
Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License/Registration required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Respiratory Therapy experience required
Pediatric respiratory care experience preferred
Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity healthcare environment
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance requirements
