Occupational Therapist- Outpatient (FT- 1.0 FTE, Day Shift)

Looking for someone with strong skillset in outpatient orthopedic (including shoulders/elbows/wrists/hands; splinting; modalities) and neurological rehabilitation. Position Summary: This position exists to provide excellent occupational therapy services. The purpose of this position is to implement therapy programs for patients referred to the system as well as providing health and wellness Qualifications:RequiredGraduate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA programMontana Licensure (Occupational Therapist)American Heart Association BLS required Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hirePreferredTwo years of hospital (inpatient/outpatient) occupational therapy experienceEssential Job Functions:In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements Bozeman Health policy and other registry physical and functional status including muscle groups motor function upper extremity function ADL s coordination and neurological a plan of treatment as indicated by evaluations (includes manual therapy and/or modalities and therapeutic exercise splinting fabrication/modifications)Prepares and instructs appropriate therapeutic exercise programs and develops home programsDocuments initial evaluations re-evaluations progress notes daily treatment education and discharge summaries within compliance of BH Rehab patients families and caregivers in strategies to manage pain improve safety and function and educate re: individualized plan of care. Documents issues re: patient safety and follows through with processes to accomplish safety for all involved.
