  • Handson experience maintaining critical mobile containerhandling equipment
  • Onthejob learning in a safetyfocused processdriven environment
  • Opportunities to build skills across mechanical hydraulic and basic electrical systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on reach stackers empty handlers forklifts trucks and related equipment
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns and perform corrective repairs to minimise downtime and maximise availability
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance in line with OEM standards and safety regulations
  • Repair defects raised through examiner defect lists and inspection reports
  • Complete work orders confirmation slips and maintenance records accurately
  • Follow HSSE rules safe working procedures and housekeeping standards
  • Work shifts and standby duties to support 24hour terminal operations

What We Are Looking For:

  • Continuous improvement mindset: curiosity about equipment reliability and commitment to safe quality workmanship
  • ND HND BSc or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 35 years experience as a mechanic in ports mines steel or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with mobile equipment such as reach stackers empty handlers and forklifts
  • Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Willingness to respond to emergency repairs and work shifts
