Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on reach stackers empty handlers forklifts trucks and related equipment
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and perform corrective repairs to minimise downtime and maximise availability
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance in line with OEM standards and safety regulations
- Repair defects raised through examiner defect lists and inspection reports
- Complete work orders confirmation slips and maintenance records accurately
- Follow HSSE rules safe working procedures and housekeeping standards
- Work shifts and standby duties to support 24hour terminal operations
What We Are Looking For:
- Continuous improvement mindset: curiosity about equipment reliability and commitment to safe quality workmanship
- ND HND BSc or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 35 years experience as a mechanic in ports mines steel or manufacturing environments
- Experience working with mobile equipment such as reach stackers empty handlers and forklifts
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Willingness to respond to emergency repairs and work shifts
