Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on RTGs MHCs and related equipment in line with OEM and safety standards
- Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities as scheduled
- Repair and refurbish mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Complete work orders confirmation slips and maintenance records accurately
- Follow HSSE procedures safe working practices and housekeeping standards
- Work shifts and standby duties to support 24hour terminal operations
What We Are Looking For:
- Continuous improvement mindset: curiosity about equipment reliability and commitment to safe quality workmanship
- HND ND Trade Test or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 35 years experience as a mechanic in ports mining steel or heavy manufacturing environments
- Experience working on Liebherr RTGs or MHCs is an advantage
- Ability to read technical manuals drawings and maintenance instructions
- Basic electrical knowledge and willingness to respond to emergency repairs
