We are open to applicants from all states. You will play a vital role in assisting our broad range of clients throughout Australia by providing high quality legal advice in all areas of succession with a particular focus on estate litigation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate looking for an opportunity within a national firm that supports work-life balance and career Law prides itself on being collegiate and professional whilst ensuring staff feel supported to reach their goals. Along with the support of your team you will have the wider support of many other specialties such as property employment and commercial and corporate key responsibilities include:Autonomously manage a diverse caseload of succession disputes from inception through to resolution including contested estates family provision claims and executor removal proceedings. Drafting and settling applications affidavits correspondence and Court documents to a high strategic advice to clients (executors administrators beneficiaries) on rights and obligations in relation to testamentary capacity undue influence and solemn form / oversight of the full gamut of wills and estates and supervision of junior lawyers as the team engagement from initial meetings to mediations and be successful in this role you will have: 5 years post admission experience in succession law with at least 3 years focused on estate litigation and contentious probate matters; Strong knowledge of relevant Succession and family provision legislation and associated procedural experience managing Court proceedings including estate administration and litigation ability to prioritise and be unrestricted Practising qualifications in Law (LLB or equivalent).Why work at Avant LawYou will be joining a close-knit team of high-performing lawyers working in an open and collaborative opportunity to shape and grow a practice in a rapidly expanding will receive hands-on mentorship and guidance with comprehensive training and development an inclusive hybrid and flexible work environment;Excellent remuneration and prefer to deal with candidates directly.
