Fleet Support Officer

As a Fleet Support Officer at Northline you will support the administration and customer service processes of our Fleet department delivering on Northlines promise of Customer Delight.
This is a permanent-salaried position Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Home Delivery Support: Advise customers on freight availability for delivery or collection ensuring smooth communication and efficient service. Maintain compliant customer texting following up as required to ensure efficiency.
- Time slot bookings: Collaborate with the Fleet team to optimise time slot bookings and delivery schedules. Coordinate freight paperwork manage depot freight.
- Equipment Control: Ensure all inbound containers are scanned into depot and ensure accurate recording on inbound ancillary equipment in S2.
- Daily Movement Sheet: Check DMR and Freight Web daily to update inbound containers coming into the depot on Daily movement sheet. Check with unloaders that manifests are completed and check discrepancy report.
- Incomplete Deliveries & Missed Pick-Ups: Manage and update Incomplete Deliveries through S2 ensuring timely resolutions. Take immediate corrective action for any missed or late pick-ups ensuring minimal disruption to service.
- PUD/NT Country Inbox: monitor and distribute emails in PUD and NT country inbox to the relevant people to ensure all requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Record Maintenance: Update and maintain the Driver Masterfile ensuring all necessary information and certificates are current.
- Special Requests: Handle special delivery requests and prioritise urgent freight as needed.
- Relationships & Communication: Build strong relationships with service providers contractors and internal teams. Participate in meetings and toolbox sessions to drive continuous improvement.
- NT Country Manifest and Pricing: Arrange country manifesting with various on-forwarding agents and follow up outstanding PODs.
Key Competencies & Technical Requirements:
- Regional Expertise: Excellent knowledge of Northern Territory regional locations.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of fatigue management Dangerous Goods (DGs) compliance and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
- Customer Focus: Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Planning & Organisation: Strong ability to plan prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience with company-specific software (S2 Orcoda) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others and support the team.
- Understanding of Transport Regulations: Understanding of load restraint guidelines dangerous goods handling and fatigue management is highly regarded.
