Raytheon has an opening for a Principal Specialist Accounting and Controllership to join the Accounting and Controllership team supporting technical accounting and special projects. Travel requirement is less than 10% based on project or business needs. The role includes project management activities evaluation against control and policy requirements supervision of Internal Control team members and review of team deliverables.

The Accounting and Controllership team supports the Business Controller organization through quarterly financial reporting deliverables assessment of transactions under US GAAP IFRS and Company Policy internal controls compliance activities finance projects implementation of accounting standards and accounting guidance and training activities. The position may include cross-training and support in these areas.

What You Will Do:

Applicant will have exposure to the Raytheon Finance Organization and collaborate with other organizational functions. Applicant will lead responsibilities listed below and support high-profile accounting projects. The role requires communication and time management to meet deadlines.

• Lead review of updated Raytheon policies procedures and exceptions to ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged and provide comments and feedback within required timelines.
• Lead international entity VAT petty cash and emergency fund processes.
• Provide oversight for compliance with RTX Records Retention policy and Raytheon records retention schedule.
• Research accounting questions as they arise.
• Support process improvement projects development of analytics and maintenance of standard work as needed.
• Support Special Projects team by managing projects and running system reports as needed.
• Support annual global statutory audits as needed.
• Support international tax activities as needed.
• Support financial reporting close process and financial statement preparation as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires Bachelors degree inFinance orAccountingora directly relatedfieldand a minimum of 0-2 years related work experience
• Experience analyzing data and resolving accounting-related issues.
• Experience communicating with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Experience working in environments with multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel SAP and financial systems including SAP OneStream and Business Warehouse.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience in aerospace defense or related of Form

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
