Purchasing Coordinator South Bend IN
This opening with our client is designed as a full-time position with a steady weekday schedule. The starting pay rate for this role will be set based on the experience level of the candidate selected with consideration given to someone who brings purchasing vendor coordination or manufacturing administrative experience and is ready to grow within the company.
The business is seeking a dependable team player who can help keep materials outside processing and priority jobs moving on time. Its important that this person is organized detail-oriented and comfortable communicating with both internal departments and outside suppliers to support daily operations.
Job Duties:
Create accurate purchase orders for outside processing testing tools and supplies
Review work orders to ensure customer requirements certifications and special instructions are communicated properly
Track open purchase orders and maintain accurate status updates in spreadsheets
Follow up with suppliers regarding completion dates delays and expedited orders
Work closely with Quality Engineering and Production teams to resolve questions or issues
Review certifications and reports upon receipt and close completed orders in the ERP system
Maintain priority Hot List jobs and update weekly performance metrics
Request quotes for new processes materials or vendor needs
Help maintain approved vendor records compliance documents and supplier data

Requirements:
Strong computer proficiency including spreadsheets and ERP systems preferred

Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions
