Job Summary
Medical Assistant Outpatient Clinic
Location: Arcadia California
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and patient care skills experience in fast-paced ambulatory environments and proficiency with venipuncture and Epic EMR documentation.
Assignment Details
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Day Shift 5x8-Hour
- Shift Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
- Perform venipuncture and basic clinical tasks
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Obtain and document vital signs medical histories and patient information
- Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
- Coordinate patient flow and support clinic operations
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
- Float to other clinic areas as needed based on staffing requirements
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience required
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program required
Certifications
- BLS certification required
- Accepted providers: AHA or American Red Cross only
Required Skills
- Venipuncture experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
