About the role
As an Administrative Administration Officer at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem you will provide accurate and timely administrative for the Intake Unit and Community Palliative Care Service.
This is a Permanent Part time role 0.6 (48 hours per fortnight) and possibly providing cover for both planned and unplanned leave within the role is central to key service operations. Less hours per fortnight will be considered for the right applicant.
Full training and supernumerary time will be provided.
Hours 830-1700 but flexibility can be discussed.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised adaptable and confident managing multiple tasks. You are comfortable learning new systems and processes can quickly pick things up and are able to step in and contribute from day one.
We value reliable team members who bring a proactive approach strong attention to detail and a willingness to support wherever needed.
Your main duties will include:
managing referrals
scheduling appointments
maintaining accurate patient records
handling phone and email enquiries from health care professionals patient families and carers
supporting communication between clinicians patients and external services.
the role also involves data entry report preparation and general office coordination while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare policies.
About you
Flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave
Ability to function within a health care environment with a proven ability to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team and with people at all levels.
Working knowledge of medical terminology preferable but not essential
Demonstrated word processing database and spreadsheet skills (competence level and range of skills as requested by various departments).
Experience in undertaking routine correspondence and administrative procedures.
Understanding of and adherence to the principles of privacy and confidentiality in respect of hospital matters for patients and staff.
Effective time management skills and demonstrated organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently
