Position Description:
The Senior Innovation Manager role focuses on executing and optimizing the overall innovation strategies while mentoring and guiding the Innovation Managers and the innovation teams these Managers supervise.
Essential Duties:
Supports and refines the overall Hensel Phelps Enterprise Innovation Strategy in alignment with company goals and industry trends.
Reviews and approves the innovation strategies proposed by innovation and strategy managers ensuring alignment with the companys broader objectives.
Fosters a culture of innovation throughout Hensel Phelps creating an environment that supports creative thinking and problem solving.
Liaises with senior management to ensure innovation strategies are integrated across business units and departments.
Develops partnerships with external organizations industry leaders clients trade and design partners academia and other entities to further the companys innovation goals.
Tracks and reports on effectiveness of implemented innovation strategies ensuring ROI and other key metrics are met.
Mentors and leads innovation managers ensuring they have the tools resources and knowledge needed to succeed.
Stays updated with global trends competitors and market changes that may affect the companys innovation path.
Identifies and recommends potential investment opportunities that align with the innovation strategy.
Reviews the due diligence package for potential investments including the business plan financial statements intellectual property market analysis executive team and other documents.
Enhances the companys visibility and reputation and innovation by attending and presenting at industry conferences seminars and other events.
Maintains emerging technology databases and support top priority emerging technology which will impact innovation strategies.
Performs other duties assigned that support the overall success of the department and organization.

Physical Work Classification & Demands:
Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
The individual in this position will periodically walk kneel sit crouch reach stoop read/see speak push pull lift stand and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.
Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery boxes cabinets etc.
