Job Summary
This position offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects related to animal resource operations and facility design at JAX a leader in biotech innovation. As an intern youll contribute to state-of-the-art research animal production operations optimizing animal care spaces and contributing to capital projectsgaining invaluable hands-on experience in both engineering and large scale biotech facility infrastructure. Joining the team at JAX provides exposure to advanced industry practices making it an exciting opportunity for college students passionate about biotech and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Advance sterilization methods and equipment management assist in animal facility space commissioning contribute to larger innovative capital projects analyze process flows and identify opportunities for quality improvement and operational efficiency communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with departments and stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program specifically Mechanical Power Manufacturing Process Eng Robotic
Understanding of HVAC applications
Experience with CAD Solid Edge/Solid Works MS Office Suite including Project
FE Exam (EIT)
Schedule: Monday - Friday - In person Bar Harbor ME
Hourly pay: $20.00
The student intern will provide assistance to the company by studying the processes performed in the department assigned to them. They will gather information and develop a deeper understanding of business practices with hands-on experience and they will work closely with different team members as they set out to assist with entry-level tasks that need to be completed. They will gather research capture data and attend meetings to develop the knowledge base that they will need to transition into new career opportunities.
