Join PwC Irelands Government & Public Sector Consulting practice to help reimagine public services and deliver better outcomes for citizens. As the Government Technology Director you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and shaping the strategic technology direction of PwCs G&PS practice. You will lead complex technology programmes that build public trust and deliver lasting improvements across the public sector. You will bring deep knowledge of delivering technology solutions to Irelands public sector meeting legislative requirements exceptional stakeholder leadership and a proven record of successful delivery in complex matrixed environments.

As aGovernment TechnologyDirector you willleverageyour influenceexpertiseandrelationshipsto deliver quality results for Public Sector clients while driving business growth for PwCs Government & Public Sector team. You will:

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Growth

  • Leadsector and account growth within G&PS go-to-market strategies specifically focussed on technologyand AIenabling services.

  • Build and deepen client relationships with senior technology data AI and operational leaders across Government and Public Sector.

  • Identifydevelopand convert new business opportunities in key accounts

  • Lead end to end business development cycleacross technologyopportunities including proposal development and client pitches for major government contracts

  • Drive market awareness ofPwCs technology and AI capabilitiesin Public Sector.

  • Achieve annual business development and managed revenue targets

  • Expand PwCs presence across priority subsectors including TransportHousingand wider government sectors

2. Client Leadership & Advisory

  • Oversee the development and implementation of technology and AI solutions enablingfuture-state operating models organisational structures and workforce strategies.

  • Lead the design build and implementation of Government technology and AI solutions overseeing requirements definition solution architecture workflow redesign configuration testing go-livereadinessand adoption support.

  • Advise senior leaders on technology and AI and translate digital strategies into executable delivery roadmaps.

  • Diagnose system challenges related to for example legacy technology fragmented data operationalbottlenecksand digital capability gaps. Develop innovative pragmatic solutions grounded in technology and AI trends sectorevidenceand practical delivery experience to support clients in addressing identified challenges.

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality outputs aligned to client expectations projectgoalsand PwC standards

  • Apply and champion project management and change management methodologies across transformation initiatives

  • Collaborate with clients to co-create solutions that address complex organisational challenges

  • Drive benefits realisation and sustained value creation across engagements

3.Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with senior government stakeholders and decision-makers

  • Anticipate stakeholder needs developing and discussing potential solutions pre-emptively

  • Navigate political and operational complexities with confidence and credibility

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement at the most senior levels

4.Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead mentor and develop teams oftechnology and AISenior Managers and Managers

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback

  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment

  • Recruit andretaintop talent with public sectorexpertise

  • Contribute to the overall capability development of the G&PS practice

5. Technical & Sector Expertise

Technology Directors are expected to bring deepexpertisein several of the following areas:

  • Governmenttechnologyroadmapping and transformation planning.

  • AIapplicationsingovernment operational or administrative contexts;

  • Governmenttechnologysystems(e.g.Case Management Customer Relationship Management Grants Management Citizen Services).

  • Technologyenabled transformation including cloud migration and operating model redesign.

  • Performance improvement and productivity programmes enabled bydigital tools.

  • Capital technologyprocurementand vendor management across the health ecosystem.

Your Profile

  • 1012 years experience intechnology ortechnology transformationin Government or Public Sectorconsulting.

  • Deep understanding of theIrish Government/ Public Sectors technologylandscape policy context and current transformation programmes.

  • Strongtrack recordof leading complex technologydataand AIprogrammes withinlargescaleenvironments.

  • Proven ability to influence senior executiveson technology decisions.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a record of building pipeline developingproposalsand winning new digital and data work.

  • Ability to translate complex technologydataand AIchallenges into clear strategic pathways and measurable outcomes.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams andleveragingglobalexpertise.

  • Commitment to innovation digital enablement emergingtechnologiesand continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communicationfacilitationand stakeholderengagement skills.

  • Relevantundergraduate and / orMastersdegreein a technology related field.

  • Relevant professional certifications such asPMP PRINCE2 Scrum/Agilevendor certifications.
