Lead Product Designer Consumer Experience

Redfin and Rocket are revolutionizing the real estate industry by merging data software and human-centric design to put customers first in the home-buying selling and renting process. Our Consumer Experience team is the engine behind our digital presence responsible for transforming 50M monthly visitors into lifelong customers. We achieve this by architecting intuitive high-trust experiences from the first click on an app to the moment a user requests a mortgage pre-qualification or schedules a tour.

As a Lead Product Designer you will be the creative force driving our most important leaps from incremental improvement to true zerotoone innovation. Your work will sit at the intersection of iterative data-driven experimentation and bold large-scale vision directly impacting the companys profitability and the way millions of people navigate the real estate market. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner across the organization to raise the bar for design craft ensuring every interaction feels as seamless as it is impactful.

About the Role

• Design for Redfins core consumer product across desktop and mobile.

• Navigate the spectrum between visionary product thinking and experimentation ensuring that every project from small iterative tests to big innovative swings raises the collective standard for what a world-class platform can be.

• Build an engaging and cohesive user experience paying close attention to every detail of the user journey.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers Engineers and stakeholders to define and design features that meet both user and business needs.

• Communicate your design concepts effectively through wireframes prototypes and high-fidelity mockups and be ready to present and defend your work to cross-functional teams and leadership.

• Use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform your design decisions and continuously iterate on product improvements.

• Advocate for the user ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are at the forefront of the design process.

• Contribute to and evolve our design system to maintain a consistent and scalable user experience across all Redfin products.

About You

• Passionate about Redfins mission to make real estate better for everyone.

• You have 8 years of experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on shipping impactful products.

• An excellent communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A collaborator at heart you thrive in a team environment and enjoy working with others to solve complex problems.

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics consistency and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

• You are customer-obsessed with a track record of translating user research and data into actionable design solutions.

• A strategic thinker who can contribute to the overall product strategy and vision not just the execution.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $180700.00-$244500.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus incentives and other employment-related benefits including but not limited to medical dental and vision benefits 401K retirement plan and paid-time off.
