About the Role:
MHS isseeking a passionate and dedicatedWorkplace Readiness Specialistto support high school studentsparticularly those with disabilitiesin preparing for employment and/or post-secondary learning. This position is part of our Transition School to Work (TSW) initiative and focuses on delivering Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS).
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of community resources and assistive technologies.
Ability to modify teaching methods based on individual needs.
Commitment to equity inclusion and student empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide group and individual instruction in Pre-ETS areas including resume building mock interviews and career exploration.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently accurately andin a timely mannerand without constant supervision.
Support students in developing job readiness and life skills necessary for successful employment both in the classroom and at the job site.
Facilitate workplace readiness training such as hygiene grooming workplace safety and behavior modeling.
Assist in identifying each students employment interests strengths and challenges.
Support students participating in Work-Based Learning (WBL) placements
Maintain professional relationships and ensure strict confidentiality.
