The Miami Township Police Department - a CALEA Internationally accredited police agency - is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess at a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Ohio drivers license
- Must possess a valid Peace Officer certification issued by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council at the time of a conditional offer of employment
Miami Township offers a comprehensive benefit package including top tier health insurance pension contributions to OPERS-LE a deferred compensation plan through Ohio 457 and tuition reimbursement.
Lateral applicants are welcome to apply and highly experienced applicants are eligible for top out pay which is currently $47.27 per hour. Should you be a lateral applicant from out of state we will assist with the Ohio Reciprocal Occupational Certificate application.
Police officers work 12-hour shifts and receive a scheduled three-day weekend twice a month. Assignment opportunities currently include SWAT operator drone pilot narcotics honor guard instructor motorcycle unit bicycle unit and more!
