Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview:

TheFacilities Maintenance Specialistis responsible for ensuring that all buildings grounds and equipment are safe functional and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean professional and welcoming environment for employees and customers alike. The ideal candidate is hands-on dependable and has strong problem-solving skills with a background in general maintenance or facilities work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including electrical plumbing HVAC lighting and mechanical components.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

• Handle basic carpentry painting drywall and flooring repairs as needed.

• Manage and maintain outdoor areas including snow removal lawn care and parking lot upkeep.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for larger repair projects or specialized maintenance.

• Track and manage maintenance supplies tools and inventory.

• Maintain records of maintenance work completed inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

• Support setup cleanup and maintenance for dealership events or special projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2 years of experience in general maintenance facilities or building repair.

• Basic knowledge of electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• Trade school certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field.

• Experience working in a commercial or dealership environment.

• Familiarity with preventative maintenance software or scheduling systems.

• OSHA safety training or similar certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending climbing ladders and operating maintenance equipment.

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
