Employment Type: Full-Time Leadership Role
Schedule / Shift Options
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- On-call coverage required
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Range: $45.79 $68.00 (Based on experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: $20000
- Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case basis)
Position Summary
The Nurse Manager RN NICU supports the Director in overseeing daily operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role ensures high-quality patient care staff development regulatory compliance and operational efficiency within the unit.
The ideal candidate brings recent Level III or Level IV NICU leadership experience strong clinical expertise and proven ability to lead high-performing teams in an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director in daily NICU operations and departmental goals
- Lead and participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Ensure nursing care aligns with clinical standards and best practices
- Provide leadership coaching and clinical support to nursing staff
- Assist with staffing scheduling and patient care coordination
- Evaluate patient outcomes and promote continuous improvement
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance family-centered care
Qualifications
- BSN required
- Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- Recent NICU leadership experience (within the past year) required
- Level III or Level IV NICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of charge nurse or management experience required
