Invoice Specialist (HVAC)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level Invoice Specialist to join our finance team. The Invoice Specialist will be responsible for preparing processing and issuing invoices to clients ensuring accuracy in billing and maintaining financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accounting billing or finance

Location: West Monroe LA (office)

Type: Full time permanent employment with Full Benefits M-F 1^st shift

Pay: Up to $17 an hour!

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time.
• Review purchase orders contracts and other supporting documents to verify billing details.
• Enter invoice data into the companys accounting or ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and client requirements.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments when necessary.
• Maintain organized billing files and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities as required.
• Support the finance and accounting team with administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or coursework in accounting/finance preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
• Ability to learn accounting or billing software quickly.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle.
