Job Summary
Position Summary:
Supervises the daily manufacturing operations performed in a shift or production line ensuring volume quality safety and cost goals are met. Provides hiring promotion and disciplinary action recommendations as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and directs daily the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and metrics are met.
- In charge of continues improvement program.
- Coordinates and promotes teamwork with other departments.
- Investigates trouble-shoots and provides solutions to production problems.
- Provides direct supervision and training for production workers.
- Promote great work environment.
- Aids in planning prioritizing and managing production areas to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
- Inspects product to verify production specifications are met.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience
2 years / Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years; Black Belt in Lean Sigma preferred
Travel: 25 %
Language: Spanish / English 50% desirable
