Role Overview

DNV Industrial Services is seeking a Segment Leader Power to lead and develop its Power inspection and technical services portfolio in China. This role plays a critical part in supporting Chinas power infrastructure and energy transition with a strong focus on power distribution systems energy storage systems (ESS) electrical safety and system performance.

The position combines technical authority project leadership client engagement and financial oversight ensuring consistent compliant and highquality delivery of services while supporting sustainable business growth.

Key Accountabilities

1. Technical Leadership Power & Energy Systems

Lead Power distribution inspection services covering Electrical topology structures Battery Management System (BMS) functionality Thermal management systems and Electrical safety and protection modules
Act as senior technical lead for power and ESSrelated projects ensuring alignment with international standards specifications and best practices.
Provide expert judgement on system performance testing results and compliance risks.

2. Project & Lifecycle Ownership

Manage the full project lifecycle including requirements analysis and technical solution design project planning and resource coordination construction supervision and commissioning (where applicable) and delivery and postproject optimization support
Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and to quality expectations.
Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

3. Business Development & Market Support

Support business development initiatives by providing strong technical insights.
Contribute to technical proposals tenders and solution definition working closely with commercial teams.
Engage customers as a trusted technical advisor supporting longterm cooperation and repeat business in the China market.

4. Financial & Operational Performance

Support and follow up on the financial performance of the Power segment including revenue tracking and cost awareness.
Contribute to longterm segment sustainability balancing technical excellence with commercial discipline.
Promote efficient resource utilization and delivery models.

5. Service Excellence & Compliance

Ensure efficient consistent and highquality service delivery in line with customer expectations.
Uphold DNVs safety culture quality standards and compliance requirements.
Drive continuous improvement through technical delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

Education

Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering Vehicle Engineering Automation or a related technical discipline.

Experience

510 years of experience in Power distribution systems Energy Storage Systems Power electronics or automations equipment.
Demonstrated project leadership and/or team management experience.
Handson involvement in project execution technical review construction supervision or commissioning activities.

Technical Expertise

Indepth knowledge of core ESS components and systems including Batteries BMS PCS EMS
Strong understanding of system integration testing methods and performance assessment.
Familiarity with international standards and certification frameworks including IEC 62933 IEC60384 IEC 60060-1
Experience supporting or managing compliance and certification activities.
Knowledge of Energy Storage Systems and ESG concepts is an advantage.

Languages

Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Mandarin Chinese proficiency strongly preferred given local client and regulatory interfaces.
