IT Desktop Support Engineer

A global organisation within the manufacturing and agricultural sector is seeking an experienced Desktop Support / EndUser Computing Engineer (Level 12) to support its Laverton-based operations. This is a hands-on onsite IT support role with an ASAP start offering stable hours and the potential for extension.

The important parts:

Pay:$45-$55 per hour

Location: Laverton Melbourne

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6month contract (with potential to extend)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week

What you will be required to do:

Business Engagement

• Provide urgent IT support for executive teams including boardrooms and physical conferencing equipment
• Participate in service management meetings assisting with prioritisation of regional IT support requirements
• Act as a key point of contact for urgent escalations

Incident & Request Management

• Act as Level 12 support for IT-related incidents and service requests
• Log categorise prioritise and manage tickets through the ITSM system ensuring accurate documentation and regular communication with users
• Resolve incidents within agreed SLAs or escalate to appropriate support teams
• Deliver timely professional and customer-focused support to end users
• Act as an escalation resource when required

IT Equipment Supply & Maintenance

• Deploy IT equipment including computers mobile phones peripherals and accessories in line with the organisations SOE
• Manage physical hardware during user onboarding and offboarding
• Maintain and track IT hardware inventory including loan devices
• Provide local support for physical IT infrastructure changes

IT Vendor Support

• Support Regional IT Leads with local contract requirements (e.g. infrastructure services telephony support)
• Coordinate thirdparty vendors for onsite support and service delivery

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have previous experience in an IT Service Desk or Desktop Support role preferably within a regional or global environment
• Hold a relevant qualification in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering Business IT or a related field
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in PC troubleshooting and core Microsoft products
• Deliver consistently high levels of customer service
• Be confident working with senior stakeholders end users vendors and service providers
• Demonstrate strong problemsolving and decisionmaking ability
• Manage time effectively meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail accuracy and accountability
