Job Summary
Core Responsibilities
- Labour Law & Risk: Ensure full compliance with SA Labour Law (LRA BCEA EEA). Act as the schools expert on Employment Equity managing the EE plan reporting and committee facilitation.
- Contracts & Performance: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all staff contracts ensuring absolute accuracy and legal alignment. Implement and oversee a structured fair performance management framework.
- Disciplinary & Employee Relations: Lead all disciplinary inquiries and grievance procedures with neutrality and professional integrity ensuring fair outcomes in line with best practices.
- Staff Development: Manage the training landscape for all staff; identifying skills gaps sourcing bespoke training programmes and overseeing the Skills Development (SDA) portfolio.
- Staff Wellbeing: Monitor organizational health mitigate burnout risks and ensure a safe professional and lawful environment for all members of the schools community.
Qualifications :
Key Requirements
- Relevant HR qualification with 5-8 years of HR Generalist/Management experience (Education background is a significant bonus).
- Expert knowledge of SA labour law and a proven track record in Employment Equity and Contract Management.
- High emotional maturity neutrality in conflict and the courage to hold boundaries within a close-knit school environment.
- Meticulous administrative skills and proficiency in HR Management software (e.g. Sage 300)
