Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Hospital Laboratory Director to provide leadership and oversight of laboratory operations within a fast-paced high-performing healthcare environment. The organization delivers comprehensive clinical laboratory and anatomic pathology services across a broad network of acute care hospitals rehabilitation facilities physician practices surgery centers and commercial laboratories.
This is a key leadership role for a strong laboratory operations professional with deep regulatory knowledge proven team leadership capabilities and a commitment to quality efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all laboratory operations programs and daily activities ensuring compliance with organizational clinical and regulatory standards
Lead full-cycle workforce management including recruitment onboarding competency assessments performance evaluations and staff development
Provide strong leadership mentorship and direction to laboratory staff and supervisory teams
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve quality patient safety service excellence and financial performance
Monitor departmental budgets operational metrics and monthly performance outcomes
Ensure compliance with CAP JCAHO CLIA FDA and CMS regulatory requirements
Develop review and maintain laboratory policies procedures and quality management systems
Collaborate with vendors and supply chain partners to optimize operational efficiency and cost control
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of accountability teamwork and excellence
Effectively delegate responsibilities while maintaining oversight of compliance and operational performance
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Biomedical Science Biology Chemistry or related field
National certification as a Medical Technologist (or equivalent)
Active State Laboratory License (as required by state regulations)
Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital or complex clinical laboratory settings
Strong leadership communication and team management skills
Preferred:
Masters Degree in a related field
Prior experience in a hospital-based clinical laboratory environment
