Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: 2017 Palo Verde Ste. 101 Long Beach CA 90815
Schedule: Monday-Friday with variable hours
Compensation: $30-$35/hour (based on experience)
Our outpatient center in Long Beach CA is seeking a licensed COTA to provide quality patient care. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience helping all of our patients get back to athletics work life and the things they love. The ideal candidate will work mostly with hand therapy patients. Experience in hand therapy is required. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care. Our clinics are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post-surgical and non-operative to work conditioning. Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
- Observe note and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
- Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
- National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
- Must have previous experience working with hand therapy patients
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid state drivers license
