The district for this position will include Cleveland OH parts of Columbus OH Pittsburgh PA and Michigan. This is a remote position with the ideal candidate residing in Cleveland OH or Detroit MI.
Purpose:
The District Business Manager (DBM) has full responsibility for delivering and executing the districts business strategy and tactics developing strong business relationships with partners people development and building a balanced talent pipeline. The DBM is responsible for the Surgical Vision business within the assigned district and will collaborate closely with other functional partners to achieve aligned goals.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the US Cataractand Refractive franchise for AMO in their respective district geography.
- Lead a complex team of direct reports including: Account ExecutivesCapital SalesSpecialists Premium Practice Specialists and Key Account Executiveswith dotted line oversight of our Laser and Refractive Laser Specialists.
- Hire Train and Retain a high-caliber team of sales individuals suited to their core specialty area.
- Achieve and maintain Quota while advancingany and allrelated goals and initiatives of AMO.
- Effectively coordinate the efforts of the various specialists to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Advance innovative ways of approaching the business and share those ideas with Peers/ AMO Leadership.
- Consistently attain quota in a balanced fashion across Capital and Consumables to include:PhacoFemto Refractive Refractive IOLs and Procedural Consumables.
- Performance-Manage individuals across the team ensuring optimal sales output team performance team synergy and individual development.
- Work within an assigned annual budget allocate accordingly to the team and ensure compliance with applicable corporate goals policies and procedures.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of cataract surgery and portfolio of cataract products to include the Veritas/Signature Pro/Intuitiv phacoemulsification systemsCatalys Femtosecond laser TecnismonofocalIOLs (loading and insertion)TecnisMultifocal IOLSymfony/Synergy IOLsTecnisToricIOL andHealonfamily of viscoelastic.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent is required or United States Armed Forces Veterans with military experience at the E6 pay grade or greater.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant business experience is required paired with proven leadership capabilities (training courses certifications etc.) including the ability to lead and manage through change and strong leadership principles behavior alignment: Connect Shape Lead and Deliver OR a minimum of two (2) years United States Armed Forces military experience.
- Knowledge of Capital and Consumable selling cycles and processes is preferred.
- Experience working in an Operating Room and familiarity with OR etiquette ispreferred.
- Proven ability to consistently meet and attain quota is required.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Surgical Cataract Business; whichincludes:IOLsOVDPhacois strongly preferred.
- Prior experience selling Consumable products is preferred.
- Ophthalmology sales experience is highly preferred.
- A valid drivers license issued in the United States is required.
- Up to 60% travel required which may include overnight and/or weekends.
- Ideal candidate will reside in Cleveland OH or Detroit MI.
