Job Summary
The main purpose of this position is to design implement and manage network infrastructure solutions and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) within the company Group
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Minimum requirements:
The following certifications will be an advantage:
- Design and build network infrastructure solutions and ACI that align with the COMPANYs requirements.
- Lead and drive the implementation of network infrastructure designs ensuring alignment with the defined architecture.
- Manage the network infrastructure life cycle
- Provide expert guidance on network infrastructure solutions support ACI adoption and participate in other company Group projects.
- Ensure that network infrastructure solutions adhere to the governance and security model developed by the Cyber and Information Security Unit Division.
- Develop maintain and document technical standards procedures user guides standard operating procedures and instructional documents related to network infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the functionality of deployed network infrastructure solutions and technologies.
- Identify address and remediate risks in the network infrastructure environment as identified by auditors and governance-related assessments.
- Stay abreast of new developments in network infrastructure and technologies.
- Be responsible for network infrastructure capacity planning disaster recovery and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance continuity and scalability.
- Prepare network performance capacity and problem resolution reports.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of an Honours degree (NQF 8) in Information Technology Computer Science or an equivalent qualification in a related field;
- Certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); and
- at least 8 to 10 years experience in network infrastructure with a strong track record of designing and implementing ACI in enterprise organisations.
The following certifications will be an advantage:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Data Center;
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise; and ITIL v3/4 and COBIT 2019.
