Pay: $120000.00 - $190000.00 per year

Location: This is an in-office role based in either our Austin or Houston office.

Note: For Austin candidates HOA attorney experience is required. For Houston candidates real estate litigation experience is required. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Job Description

• Represent clients in HOA property owners association real estate and litigation matters
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to assigned clients
• Draft review and amend governing documents legal correspondence pleadings motions opinions and related legal documents
• Advise clients on compliance governance disputes collections and real estate-related legal issues
• Handle real estate litigation matters including pleadings discovery hearings negotiations and case strategy
• Prepare and pursue judicial foreclosures when applicable
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions court briefing and client guidance
• Attend client board meetings member meetings hearings and other legal proceedings as needed
• Supervise and work closely with legal assistants and support staff
• Manage deadlines client expectations billing requirements and multiple active matters

Qualifications

• Active Texas law license required
• Austin candidates must have HOA attorney experience
• Houston candidates must have real estate litigation experience
• 1 year of relevant attorney experience preferred
• Experience with court appearances litigation client communication legal drafting and case management preferred
• Strong legal writing research organization and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Professional approachable client-service mindset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management tools
• Ability to work full-time in office

  • 1 to 3 years directly relevant experience: $120K to $140K
