Position Summary
We are seeking an Employment Attorney with 35 years of experience to join our Omaha office. The ideal candidate is a management-side employment law generalist capable of handling both litigation and counseling matters. This is a foundational role with significant growth potential to build and lead the firms employment practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment litigation (wrongful termination discrimination harassment)
- Advise corporate clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Draft employment policies handbooks and agreements
- Handle administrative proceedings (EEOC Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission)
- Provide internal employment counsel to firm leadership
- Build and grow the firms employment law practice
- Work closely with partners and develop client relationships
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 35 years of employment law experience (management-side required)
- Experience with both litigation and counseling work
- Strong communication analytical and client-facing skills
- Interest in building and leading a practice area
- Ability to work on-site in Omaha or relocate
Compensation & Growth
Base salary of $120000 $150000 depending on experience. Strong upside in a lower cost-of-living market with a clear path to partnership and practice ownership.
