AWS Specialist and Partner Industries (ASPI) is seeking an AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSA) for Migrations. AWS SA Specialists are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise able to address advanced concepts and feature designs for Healthcare and Life Sciences Customers (HCLS). You will provide technical expertise to help grow the adoption of a portfolio of services that includes AWS Transform AWS Application Migration Service AWS Database Migration Service Amazon Relational Database Services Amazon Elastic VMware Service. As a part of this team you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the containers industry. SSAs work with HCLS customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable flexible and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems.

Key job responsibilities
Helping HCLS organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Defining implementation architectures responding to RFPs developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers largest and most critical business challenges.
Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs whitepapers reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit AWS re:Invent etc.
Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

A day in the life
The Solutions Architects on our team provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our largest Healthcare and Life Sciences customers. They lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community. You get to learn from collaborate with and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture. The typical day might include meeting with customers collaborating with AWS technical product managers working with others to build and test demonstrations and proofs of concept and writing technical content such as blog posts and papers.

About the team
The ASPI HCLS Specialist Solutions Architecture Team consists of GEN AI Analytics Containers Storage Migrations and HPC Specialist Solutions Architects located across the US. This team is vertically aligned and supports the Healthcare and Life Sciences customer base consisting of some of the largest most complex AWS customers. The team operates on key tenets including being domain experts who provide thought leadership with deep AWS expertise taking ownership of specialist engagements maintaining contextual knowledge scaling through reusable assets gathering customer feedback and maintaining alignment with the broader AWS community.

- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 5 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent

- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Hands-on experience with migration orchestration tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (AWS MGN) or RiverMeadow used to plan automate and execute end-to-end large scale migration workflows across heterogeneous environments to the cloud.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
