Reconciliation & Safeguarding Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Reconciliation & Safeguarding Officer to join our growing team in Cyprus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily reconciliations safeguarding processes financial monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

This role is essential in maintaining the accuracy integrity and security of company financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliation Duties

• Perform daily weekly and monthly reconciliations of client funds bank accounts PSPs and payment providers.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliation reports.
• Coordinate with finance operations and compliance teams regarding transactional issues.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

• Ensure proper safeguarding of client funds in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor safeguarding balances and maintain safeguarding calculations/reports.
• Assist in implementing safeguarding controls and procedures.
• Support audits and provide documentation when required.
• Identify operational risks and escalate any irregularities immediately.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare reconciliation and safeguarding reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls.
• Assist with regulatory reporting requirements where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in reconciliation safeguarding finance operations or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial reconciliations and transaction monitoring.
• Experience working with payment providers banking systems or fintech environments is considered an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
• Fluency in English is required.
