Join us as a Technical Officer and play a pivotal role in improving the countys bus network through the National Bus Strategy and Wiltshires Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

This role offers a unique chanceto make arealdifference in the lives of Wiltshires residents improving transport options supporting sustainabilitygoalsand helping to build a more connected greener county.

As a Technical Officer you will plan shape and lead implementation of bus infrastructure projects including new bus stopssheltersand bus priority the audit andmaintenance ofexisting infrastructure coordinate datacollectionand collaborate with internal teams busoperatorsand external partners on development projects. Engaging with local representatives you will drive improvements in passenger satisfactionreliabilityand funding bidsmonitorprojecteffectivenessand contribute to updating the Bus Service Improvement Plan as needed.

We are looking for someone with a degree or equivalent in civil engineering or a transport-related field with experience working in passenger transport transportplanningor civil engineering. You shouldpossessproven project management skills the ability toanalyseand evaluate transport data anda high levelof numeracy for statistical communication negotiation and diplomacy skills are essential along withproficiencyin relevant computer applications including spreadsheets and GIS software.
