Job Purpose

The Delivery and Improvement Officer is instrumental in supporting the successful execution of transformation and service improvement initiatives within the Community Wellbeing Directorate particularly in adult social care. Operating in a dynamic and collaborative setting the role involves coordinating programs monitoring progress and ensuring effective governance and reporting. This position is crucial for driving continuous improvement and delivering impactful outcomes that enhance services for residents. The ideal candidate is proactive organized and possesses strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of transformation programs and service improvement plans
  • Coordinate project activities including governance reporting risk management and documentation
  • Collaborate with Senior Responsible Officers to track progress and outcomes
  • Develop clear and concise reports briefings and decision-making documentation
  • Engage with stakeholders across services to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in planning and delivering workshops meetings and program communications
  • Monitor and track project milestones ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Contribute to risk identification and support the implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure information is current and accessible

Experience Required

  • Experience in a project or program delivery environment
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced setting managing multiple priorities
  • Experience supporting transformation programs or service improvement initiatives
  • Experience working with stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Experience within local government or adult social care (highly desirable)

Additional Information

  • Pay Rate: 21.83 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid (Plough Lane office & remote working)

Required Skills:

Requirements: Experience in a customer-focused or administrative role. Proficiency in using multiple software systems to manage data raise orders and track progress. Experience in handling repairs housing or property-related administration (desirable). Proven ability to input data accurately and efficiently. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to manage workload independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Confidence in handling customer interactions and resolving issues. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Competency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant systems. Additional Information 6-month temporary contract. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis. Agile working policy (combination of home and office-based working in Loughborough). Must be flexible and responsive to changing workloads and priorities.
