From environmental planning permitting remediation and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.

Kleinfelder is seeking an Intern for Environmental Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing work in our San Jose CA office and Hayward CA laboratory.

The Intern will work under the direct supervision of experienced staff and will assist in various field and office tasks on various projects.

The position requires strong writing and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of pertaining to environmental sciences geology or pursuing a degree in the sciences and be able to conduct work outside in varied weather and field conditions over successive days.

Candidates should be recent graduates or pursuing a BS degree in Geology Engineering Environmental Science or a related field. The ideal candidate will have good computer skills be able to get along well with others be well organized and be very capable of conducting field work. Experience conducting field work either while employed or as a volunteer is desirable.

The ideal candidate must have a valid drivers license with an excellent driving record. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are energetic and enthusiastic have an interest in the environmental and geotechnical field and who are highly organized and able to work independently to complete assignments.

Following an offer candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials a motor vehicle report (MVR) and a comprehensive background check.
