EXPECTED DAYS OF THE WEEK: (Part Time)

Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays

EXEMPTION:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Teaching Preparation

  • Create courseobjectives course syllabus and course information sheetsfor Bible Language Arts History Science Math and Bibleor the classes you are hired to teach.

  • Prepare detailedengaginglesson plans using our LCA provided curriculum withobjectivesand assessment on the daily plans forMWF.

  • Prepare detailedengaginglesson plans forT Thfor satellite days with details for parents to administer andoversee the lessons to completion.

  • Follow prescribed scope and sequence and adhere to relevant curricular and policy guidelines as they teach their assigned classes.

  • Put lessons onFACTSby Sunday at 5:00pmeach week.

  • If lesson plans change during the week email the parents that day before the students leave for the dayor youleave for the day.

  • Create and update asnecessarya curriculum notebook with all necessary documents requested by the Elementary Director.

  • Update grade level Curriculum Mapping instructed by the Director.

  • Utilize administrative time for planning grading and communication with parents asappropriate.

  • Teach via on-line when necessary or directed by the school.

  • Communicate with parents weekly.

Instruction

  • Teach lessons with engaging activities when possible.

  • Use all teaching strategies to meet yourstudentsneeds.

  • Teach by using a mix ofteacher directed lessons group activitiesandindividualprojects.

  • Integrate Biblical principles and a Biblically sound philosophy of education throughout the curriculum.

  • Utilize valid teaching techniques to help students master necessary content and skills as defined by the relevant curriculum goals and the schools general philosophy.

  • Plan a program of study that as much as possible meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students challenging each to dotheirbest work.

  • Appropriately employ a variety of instructional aids methods and other resources that willprovidecreative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual mental physical social and emotional.

  • Effectively use homework for drill reviewenrichmentor project work.

  • Keep proper discipline and classroom management in the classroom and on the school premises tomaintaina good teaching environment following the handbook discipline plan.

  • Effectively communicate parent co-teacher duties andassistadministration in holding co-teachers accountable.

  • Inform the administration ifunableto fulfill any assigned duties.

  • Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher.

  • Set an expectation for and enforce excellence of foundational communicational skills ( spelling neatness of work handwriting public speaking skills etc.).

  • Take an active role in enforcing school discipline (student code of conduct dress code).

Non-Instructional

Teachers shall

  • Cooperate with the Board and Administration in implementing all policies procedures and directives governing the schools operation.

  • Confer with the administrationregardingany policy you areunable to support.

  • Maintain regular andaccurateattendance and grade records onFACTSto meet the demands of a comprehensive knowledge of each students progress.

  • Update FACTSwith attendance daily by 9:00am.

  • Grades will be imputed inFACTSweekly.

  • Keep students parents and the administration adequately informed of student progress or deficiencies and give sufficient notice of probable course failure.

  • Maintain a clean attractive well-ordered classroom.

  • Maintain Satellite Day Office hours each Tue and Thurs.

  • Attend all required PTF Workshops or Meet the Teacher EventsEffectivelycommunicate parent co-teacher duties andassistadministration in holding co-teachers accountable.

  • Inform the administration ifunableto fulfill any assigned duties.

  • Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become familiar with and keep updated on all our Emergency Protocols Policies and Procedures
  • Contribute to school systems effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
  • Establish and adjust objectives by following school guidelines and school goals plans policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records by documenting accordingly
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies as deemed by your supervisor
  • Embrace biblical truth strive for excellence and model Christ-like leadership
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish educational results and departmental requests/needs
  • Meet requirements for educational development related to your position certifications
  • Complete continuing education as deemed by your supervisor
  • Willingness to take developmental assessments
  • Background checks Ministry Safe Drug tests and all compliance requests
  • Attend Parent Teacher Fellowship all school Workshops
  • Attend In-service assist in set up and tear down of all school PTFs and Workshops as deemed by your supervisor
  • Support Leadership Decisions
  • Other duties as assigned by Direct Supervisor Team lead Head of School
