Were seeking a Modelling & Analysis Engineer to contribute to the development and performance evaluation of advanced integrated Combat Systems.

The Opportunity
As a key member of a multidisciplinary engineering team you will lead and contribute to software modelling simulation and analytical studies that support system design integration and operational effectiveness.
Youll work across the full modelling lifecyclefrom concept and development through to experimentation validation and performance analysisensuring robust defensible insights are delivered to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop enhance and maintain mathematical and software-based models to support system analysis and trade studies
- Integrate and validate models within broader system environments
- Design and execute structured experiments to evaluate system and algorithm performance across multiple metrics
- Perform statistical analysis on simulation and trial data to generate meaningful insights
- Produce high-quality technical documentation including algorithms experimental designs and software artefacts
- Contribute to system-level understanding including operational context and real-world application
- Support internal and external reviews ensuring outputs align with engineering and quality processes
- Communicate progress risks and technical challenges clearly to team leadership
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering disciplines
About You
This role is suitable for an engineer who enjoys turning complex systems into measurable testable insightsand influencing real-world defence capability.
Skills & Experience:
- 5 years experience in software engineering systems engineering or mathematical modelling
- Strong programming capability in one or more of: Python MATLAB C/C or Java
- Proven experience solving complex multi-variable engineering problems within a collaborative team environment
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply advanced technical concepts independently
- Experience designing experiments and analysing data using statistical methods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly
- A mindset geared toward innovation curiosity and continuous improvement
As Defence security clearance is required for this role applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
