The Role

• Leading and managing the PE department ensuring the highest standards of coaching academic instruction and student participation.

• Strategic oversight of the schools competitive fixture list including the coordination of mid-week and Saturday games programs across multiple sports.

• Designing and implementing an innovative curriculum for KS3 GCSE and A-Level PE ensuring academic results match the schools high standards.

• Managing a team of specialist PE teachers and external coaches fostering a culture of continuous professional development and high-performance coaching.

• Overseeing world-class facilities and managing the departmental budget to ensure the school remains at the forefront of school sports provision.

• Driving the co-curricular and tour program ensuring students have access to elite-level competition and diverse sporting experiences.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant leadership experience within a high-performing independent school.

• A strong degree in Physical Education Sports Science or a related discipline.

• A proven track record of teaching academic PE (GCSE and A-Level) and coaching elite-level school teams.

• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex logistics and lead a large diverse team.
