Work Model: 5 Days Onsite

Responsibilities:

Required to lead or support the development of a privacy impact assessment that evaluates whether new technologies information systems or proposed programs or policies meet legal and policy privacy requirements determine and mitigate risks and address clients concerns.

These requirements include ensuring that the program complies with provincial municipal federal and private sector access and privacy legislation as well as relevant regulations statutes OPS policies Directives standards guidelines and internationally accepted Fair Information Practices.

General Skills:

Excellent knowledge of privacy and security concepts trends and issues including their impact on business processes and compliance requirements

Experience researching and applying privacy laws regulations and jurisprudence

Experience conducting PIAs in public sector environments

Knowledge of privacy best practices

Strong knowledge of FIPPA MFIPPA PHIPA and related regulations

Familiarity with PIPEDA and US PATRIOT Act

Knowledge of OPS PIA processes and tools

Understanding of IT security architecture policy development risk management and project delivery

Ability to lead and manage PIA development independently or within teams

Ability to create and understand data flow diagrams and business process diagrams

Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Understanding of IT systems architecture integration and data flows

Experience with risk assessment tools records management and data governance

Knowledge of AODA standards

Privacy Assessment & Legislation (40%)

Experience with FIPPA PHIPA PIPEDA

Experience conducting PIAs

Experience leading privacy assessments for digital solutions

Policy and legislation analysis and recommendations

Technical Understanding (30%)

Experience with privacy risks across digital platforms

Knowledge of encryption and security approaches

Experience with integrations and data exchange

Cloud privacy and security knowledge

Understanding of architecture and privacy frameworks

Leadership & Communication (20%)

Stakeholder communication and engagement

Strong analytical and documentation skills

Ability to present findings to senior leadership

Time management and prioritization

OPS Experience (10%)

Experience conducting PIAs in OPS environment

Knowledge of OPS processes templates approvals
