This is a non-union positionAre you driven by technology safety and problemsolving As a Maintenance Technician II (Electrical Controls Technician II) you will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly by monitoring maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and control systems across the station. From unit control systems to critical auxiliary equipment such as switchgear motors generators pumps fans and DC power systems like batteries and chargers this role offers handson work technical growth and the opportunity to make a real impact every day.
What You Will Do:
Perform routine inspections maintenance and basic repairs on electrical equipment such as motors generators pumps fans and switchgear.
Support the maintenance of control systems and field devices including PLCs HMIs motor controls sensors switches and actuators.
Assist with the upkeep of DC electrical systems such as batteries chargers rectifiers and inverters.
Monitor equipment for abnormal conditions and report issues clearly and accurately.
Follow safety programs company procedures and standard operating practices while working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Work closely within a team learning from experienced technicians and occasionally assisting contractors or other employees.
Help plan daily work activities organize materials and coordinate logistics related to offshore and helicopter operation.
What you have:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of directly relevant training and experience.
Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.
Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training formal education and/or experience.
Communicate verbally and in writing to collect and relay basic facts.
Willing to assist with more complex tasks equipment and procedures.
Able to work with significant independence.
Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.
Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness integrity honesty and openness are valued.
Preferred:
Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience. Possesses the desire to learn and advance as an Electrical Controls Technician.
Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.
Working Conditions:
Primarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training meetings and documentation of required tasks dictated by the Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.
Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able and willing to work overtime weekends shift on call & standby and travel overnight as required.
7 on 7 off schedule stationed offshore
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to Grasping kneeling light-moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read the fine print) hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility can ascend and descend ladders scaffolding ramps poles and other devices using feet legs and/or hands and arms.
