Group Therapist

Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Launched in February 2026 our newest location in Golden Valley MN will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.

As a Group Therapist you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT DBT and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. This role will work with patients in our Mood & Anxiety Program while also offering the opportunity to becross-trained within our specialty programs and services: School Refusal OCD/Complex Anxiety MentalHealth and Trauma.

What Youll Do:

• Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups with adolescents and adults
• Providing crisis intervention and staff support as needed
• Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly update
• Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups
• Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls
• Checking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patients
• Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings
• Providing individual support to patients as needed
• Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups
• Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction
• Participating in discharge planning for patients
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

• Masters in Social Work/Clinical Counseling or other relevant Masters/Doctoral programs
• Hold or be eligible for one of the following licensures: LGSW LPC LICSW LPCC MSW AMFT LMFT PsyD or PhD (preferred)
• 1 year of post-Masters clinical experience or a relevant masters level internship
• Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Experience with patients in crisis and a strong passion for working within high acuity environments
