The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and safety-conscious Skilled Labour for a turnaround in Central Alberta The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment working 6/1 10 hours per day. Day and Night shifts open.
LOA & Subsistence
- LOA: $185/day for workers traveling from 100 km (Client approval required).
- Travel: $50/day for those living 50100 km away.
- LOA employees must stay within 50 km (no travel allowance provided).
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete tasks in line with OCL and industry standards procedures and practices
- Assist skilled trades as required
- Operate basic hand and power tools safety and effectively
- Perform spotting and flagging duties when required
- Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift
- Site cleaning and preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area / job site
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs bending standing and working in various weather conditions)
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
- Ensure a safe team environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic
- Strong communication skills. Ability to follow and understand instructions given.
- Must have reliable transportation a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Must have the following safety tickets: WHMIS 2015 CSTS 2020 (or equivalent) H2S Alive
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
