Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:
- Minimize production interruptions through troubleshooting and production equipment maintenance and rebuilds in accordance with manufacturers specifications and using safe operating procedures.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment.
- Respond to mechanical breakdowns and ensure proper functioning on completion.
- Diagnosing situational and ongoing problems; assess and repair breakdowns.
- Fabricate parts guards etc. using machine shop equipment.
- To improve efficiency and safety use parts and techniques to modify equipment operation and guarding.
- Machine installation or moves as required including set-up and pre-start.
Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:
- Certificate of qualification Millwright. Red Seal.
- Experience in Manufacturing Industrial environment.
- Certification/education or skilled experience in machine shop equipment (ie: lathe milling welder).
- Consideration of 4th year apprentice if required hours are completed.
- Excellent knowledge of machines and their capacity.
- Flexibility adaptable team player with excellent organizational time management and planning skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) computer skills.
- Priority driven self-motivated with a positive attitude.
