Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support providers in a pediatric outpatient setting. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities focusing on delivering high-quality patient care supporting medical staff during procedures and ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with required instruments and supplies
• Room patients and assist in preparing them for provider evaluations
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs in electronic medical records
• Assist providers during examinations treatments and minor procedures
• Administer immunizations in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Perform diagnostic testing such as EKG PFT audiometry and vision screening (upon competency validation)
• Conduct lab-related procedures including phlebotomy UDS and other testing (after training)
• Complete medication reconciliation and support clinical documentation workflows
• Obtain patient histories and perform intake screening (in-person and via phone)
• Coordinate scheduling for appointments procedures and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper EMR documentation
• Monitor clinical supplies and maintain equipment readiness
• Support front-office functions including administrative and billing tasks as needed
• Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and preventive care
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary teams
• Deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• Strong clinical skills including patient rooming and vital signs
• Prior experience in an outpatient or primary care setting preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Certifications

• BLS (AHA required)
• One of the following certifications required:
  • CMA (AAMA NHA NCCT AMCA NCMA)
  • RMA (AMT NAHP)
