M&E Co-Ordinator
Our client is looking for an M&E Co-ordinator who will support the delivery of mechanical and electrical works on their commercial construction projects ensuring that all M&E activities are planned coordinated and executed to the required standards. The role involves close collaboration with subcontractors site management design teams and clients to ensure installations are delivered safely efficiently and in line with project specifications and Irish building regulations.
You will be working within a well-established team on a variety of prestigious projects. The current workload is exciting and you will be involved at all stages. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure works are carried out in the correct sequence and to programme.
Review M&E drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy completeness and buildability.
Assist in developing and maintaining M&E installation schedules.
Ensure M&E works comply with Irish regulations building control requirements industry standards and project specifications.
Participate in design reviews identifying potential issues or clashes at an early stage.
Liaise with design consultants to resolve technical queries and discrepancies.
Monitor the quality of M&E installations throughout the construction phase.
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety quality and workmanship standards.
Review method statements risk assessments and commissioning documentation.
Act as the main point of contact between site operations M&E subcontractors and the design team.
Attend site coordination meetings and circulate minutes or updates as required.
Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in managing M&E-related queries and instructions.
Assist in preparing commissioning plans ensuring all systems are tested balanced and demonstrated.
Review and compile O&M manuals and handover documentation.
Ensure all required certifications are completed and submitted.
Education and Skills Required
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Building Services or Construction Management Engineering.
Additional training or certification in health & safety or building services is advantageous.
5 years experienceworking in an M&E coordination or building services role on Irish construction sites.
Strong understanding of Irish building regulations BCAR and industry best practices.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings schematics and specifications.
Good knowledge of HVAC electrical distribution fire protection plumbing and related building services systems.
Familiarity with BIM AutoCAD Procore or other project management software is an advantage.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Valid Safepass and Manual Handling desirable
