North Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into a MRI Lead role within one of our busy clinics primarily St Vincents. This is a Full-Time position playing a key role in supporting clinical leadership maintaining imaging excellence and ensuring the delivery of safe efficient and patient-focused MRI services. Part-time will be considered on application.
This will be a Monday Friday with regular business hours between 8am and 6pm working a 38hr week with participation on the on-call roster.
Working closely with Radiologists the Area Chief Radiographer and site leadership you will lead by example while continuing to perform hands-on MRI scanning across a diverse and interesting case mix.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the MRI service
- Deliver high-quality MRI imaging in line with I-MED protocols and standards
- Support mentor and develop MRI radiography staff
- Promote a strong safety culture including radiation dose optimisation
- Assist with MRI protocol review and optimisation with Radiologists
- Support workflow efficiency and positive patient experiences
- Participate in quality assurance accreditation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to on-call after-hours and weekend rosters as required
About You
- AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
- Strong MRI experience with the ability to work independently
- Previous senior leadership or modality lead experience (desirable)
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred high-quality care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
