Job Summary
Job Description:
SFS is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our maintenance team. The Maintenance/Labor Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of school facilities. This position is essential in maintaining a clean safe and functional environment for students staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting minor plumbing electrical repairs and carpentry.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of school grounds including lawn care snow removal and trash collection.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Respond to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner.
- Support event setup and teardown including moving furniture and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other staff to ensure the efficient operation of school facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Valid drivers license is required.
